#BS .08 - Breath Scan - Breath
Alcohol Test .08 (25/Box)
BreathScan is a small portable
breath alcohol detector. The device is very affordable
and small enough to fit in your pocket. BreathScan
is the perfect gift to show someone you care. BreathScan
has been proven accurate and reliable by the U.S.
Department of Transportation, National Highway Traffic
Safety Administration, Denver Police Department,
and Drug Control Teaching Center at King's College,
London. BreathScan has two uses. First, BreathScan
is an inexpensive way to test for alcohol use among
employees. Second, since many states have zero tolerance
laws, BreathScan can prevent minors (under age 21)
from losing their driving privileges if their BAC
is above 0.02%. Don't risk losing your life and
driving privileges.
Alcohol intoxication
is the leading cause of traffic fatalities. Used
as a monitor, preventing potential arrest or worse,
reckless endangerment of others. This test is recommended
for "on the spot" testing whenever alcohol consumption
is suspected. Using BreathScan disposable alcohol
testers can help to prevent the tragic and life
altering consequences.
BreathScan is a disposable
single use breath alcohol detector that provides
accurate and reliable measurement of breath alcohol
contents. Its low cost and ease of use make the
BreathScan® testers ideal screening tools which
qualifies an individual for submission to a forensic-quality
evidential testing. Using BreathScan is as easy
as 1-2-3. Wait 15 minutes after your drink. Open
the package and remove the BreathScan tube. Squeeze
the middle of the outer plastic tube between your
thumb and forefinger to break the inner glass ampoule
containing the yellow crystals. Do not crush or
bend the tube. Use the tester immediately. Take
a deep breath and blow, in one continuous breath.
Wait for two (2) minutes. Observe the color change
of the crystals. The BreathScan detector contains
indicator chemistry which will undergo a color change
in the presence of alcohol contained in the breath
of the subject. This product provides a reliable
indication of alcohol present in the exhaled breath
of the test subject when the instructions for use
of the BreathScan indicator are rigidly followed.
Given the negative affect that alcohol can have
on the publics health and safety, alcohol screening
tests, like BreathScan, can help prevent individuals
who use alcohol improperly from creating undo harm
to themselves and others. The BreathScan alcohol
detector can help prevent the unfortunate and often
life threatening consequences of alcohol intoxication.
This test is recommended for "on the spot" qualitative
testing whenever alcohol consumption or intoxication
is suspected. Alcohol counseling programs, halfway
houses and alcoholic recovery programs are excellent
candidates for using these tests. Also parents can
now use this simple test as an effective means of
checking for teenage alcohol consumption or abuse.
A few dollars investment now can potentially save
hundreds down the road and help prevent the many
tragedies associated with alcohol abuse.
While BreathScan is not suited to be precise enumeration
of BAC, it provides clear evidence of the presence
of alcohol at preset (and significant) levels and
is well suited for use in the field, in the workplace,
and at locations where evidentiary testing methodologies
are not readily available. The BreathScan alcohol
detector has been shown to be superior to other
disposable alcohol testers. Strict quality control
ensures that each tester is properly calibrated,
giving the user assurance of consistent tester results.
No other tester is easier to use. The BreathScan
alcohol detector keeps the chemically coated crystals
fresh in a hermetically sealed ampoule until the
test is to be administered. Immediately prior to
use, the ampoule is ruptured by slight finger pressure
on the outer flexible clear tube to release crystals
within the confines of the tube. When the subject
exhales into the tube, the fresh crystals interact
with breath vapor and change color from yellow to
blue green, if alcohol is present. If all the crystals
change color completely, this indicates that the
subject's blood alcohol level is at or over the
level being measured for.
